　　1.相互代词(reciprocal pronoun)就是表示相互关系的代词。它与它所指代的名词或代词是一种互指关系，因此它们是复数或者二者以上。英语中的相互代词有两个，即each other和one another。

　　They know each other well for they are close friends.

　　他们都非常了解对方，因为他们是亲密的朋友。

　　You look as though you know one another.

　　你们看起来像是互相认识。

　　Usually these small groups were independent of each other.

　　这些小团体通常是相互独立的。

　　2.相互代词each other和one another通常在句中作宾语，如：

　　You need to learn how to respect each other and not overstep your bounds with each other and help understand each other.

　　你们两个要学会尊重对方、理解对方、不逾矩。

　　All things are interrelated and interact on each other.

　　一切事物都互相联系并相互作用。

　　By competing with one another, they create and build vehicles with different attributes and character.

　　通过相互竞争，他们创造出具有不同属性和特征的交通工具。

　　3. 相互代词each other可分开使用，即each…other。但相互代词one another则不能分开使用，分开使用的意思会变化，如：

　　The couple each tried to persuade the other to stay at home.

　　这对夫妻双方都想劝说对方留在家里。

　　Planes took off one after another.

　　飞机陆续起飞。

　　4. 相互代词each other和one another可以使用它们的所有格形式，如：

　　The teacher asked students to correct each other's mistakes in their homework.老师让学生们互相修改作业中的错误。

　　Only when we have the courage to cross the street and look in one another's eyes can we see there that we are children of the same God and members of the same human family.

　　只有当我们鼓起勇气，跨过那段距离，相互正视对方，我们才能明白，我们都是同一个天主的孩子，都是同一个人类大家庭的成员。
